Olivia Galati

Private Softball Instructor

Olivia Galati played for St. John the Baptist Diocesan High School (West Islip, NY) where she led the Cougars to three New York State Championships. She earned Conference Player of the Year as a junior, and her senior year was named Conference Pitcher of the Year, the Gatorade New York State Player of the Year, and EA Sports Second Team All-American. She finished her high school career with a 63-12 record an a 0.19 ERA.

After St. John's, Olivia was recruited to play for NCAA Division I Hofstra University (Hempstead, NY), where she was the Pride's No.1 pitcher for three seasons. During her tenure at Hofstra, the team made the NCAA tournament three times, including the program's first appearance in the NCAA Super Regionals in 2012. Olivia was named CAA Pitcher of the Year and NFCA All-Northeast Region all three seasons. She holds the Hofstra career record for wins (129), strikeouts (1,415), and no-hitters (12) and is second in career ERA (1.30). She also holds the single-season program records for innings pitched (341.0), strikeouts (395), and wins (40), all set in 2013. She has thrown 139 complete games, 66 shutouts, and 5 perfect games.

Following her dominant collegiate career, Olivia was selected second overall by the New York/New Jersey Comets in the National Pro Fastpitch (NPF) draft in 2013. She later joined the USSSA Pride where she won the NPF Championship in 2014.

​

Olivia was inducted into the NYSHS Hall of Fame in 2015, had her #2 jersey retired from Hofstra in 2017, inducted into the Suffolk Sports Hall of Fame in 2022, and the Hofstra University Hall of Fame in 2023.
